The Pelicans selected Kentucky center Nerlens Noel with the No. 6 pick in the 2013 draft and promptly traded him along with a protected 2014 first-round pick to the Sixers in exchange for All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday and the No. 42 pick in the 2013 draft, according to multiple reports.
Yahoo! Sports and NBA.com both reported the terms of the deal.
Noel, 19, was seen as the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the draft before sliding out of the top-five on draft night. He is currently recovering from a season-ending knee injury. Find a breakdown of Noel's strengths and weaknesses here.
