Manu Ginobili says he's returning to the Western Conference champion Spurs.

Ginobili, 35, hinted at retirement after the Spurs fell to the Heat in the NBA Finals, but he tweeted Wednesday that he's remaining with San Antonio for two more years: "Thrilled to announce that, as I always hoped, I'm gonna stay with the @spurs for two more years. #gospursgo." Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Ginobili's deal will pay him $7 million per season.

The agreement comes a day after restricted free-agent center Tiago Splitter reached a four-year deal to return to San Antonio.

Ginobili had an up-and-down postseason in which he averaged 11.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, five assists and 2.6 turnovers and shot 39.9 percent. He averaged 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists and shot 42.5 percent in 60 games in the regular season. The Argentine has played his entire 11-year career with San Antonio.

Grade: B+. It was hard to imagine Ginobili's signing anywhere else. (The former Sixth Man Award winner apparently felt the same way, saying in an online chat that he guessed he's "a Spur for life.") He's not the helter-skelter force he once was, but he can still impact the game in a way few others can. Gregg Popovich manages his players' minutes better than any coach in the league, and he'll do the same with Ginobili, preserving Manu so that he's able to pick his spots.
