A preseason game between the Bucks and Raptors in Milwaukee was suspended midway through the first quarter and eventually canceled after multiple players slipped on the Bradley Center's court surface.

"[The] officials have determined that the conditions are unsafe for tonight's game to continue," the Bucks announced on Twitter. "Tickets for tonight's game will be valid for any home game in November. Vouchers will be available at the exits shortly."

The game was suspended with 5:58 remaining in the first quarter and the Bucks leading 14-9. Both teams were sent to their respective locker rooms, and the game officials later decided to cancel the contest rather than attempt to resume play following a delay.

The Toronto Sun reports that players from both teams -- including O.J. Mayo, DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay -- had trouble with their footing and members of the Raptors organization had lodged complaints about the the playing surface prior to the tip off. The Toronto Star reported that "waxing of the court" may have caused the slipping, but the Bucks did not provide an explanation in a press statement, although they did say they were "exploring the cause and possible solution" to the issue.

Referee Danny Crawford told a pool reporter that the floor was eventually deemed "unplayable" after the officials initially decided before the game that the service was playable, despite complaints from the players. He noted that there was "no condensation at all" on the court.

"We went out initially and tested the floor and we thought the floor was OK," Crawford said. "Once the players started slipping, we said we should end this just to make sure we have no issues later. ... I think [the players] were having issues with the sharp cuts. ... We saw the players were having issues with traction. Then when we had a few guys go down, we figured we should have a conference. And both teams wanted not to continue the game."

Friday's game represented the preseason finale for both teams and no result was registered for either side. Instead, Toronto completes its preseason with a 6-1 record and Milwaukee finishes with a 1-5 record.

The Bucks unveiled a new court design at the Bradley Center back in September. Milwaukee is set to open the regular season on the road against New York on Oct. 30. The Bucks will play their home opener against the Raptors on Nov. 2.
