Nuggets agree to trade Andre Miller to Wizards in three-team deal with Sixers

The Nuggets have agreed to trade disgruntled point guard Andre Miller to the Wizards in a three-team trade, according to multiple reports. Washington will reportedly send forward Jan Vesely to Denver while sending point guard Eric Maynor to the Sixers. 

The Washington Post and Yahoo Sports reported the deal's terms on Thursday in advance of the NBA's 3 p.m. trade deadline. CBSSports.com reports that Philadelphia will also receive two second-round picks -- one from Denver, one from Washington -- in the agreement.

Miller, 37, has been one of the league's iron men throughout his career, but he has not played in a game since Dec. 30 due to a public verbal altercation first-year Nuggets coach Brian Shaw. Initially, the Nuggets suspended Miller and the parties later agreed that it would be better if he remained away from the team, even as Denver's backcourt dealt with injuries to Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson. Miller is averaging a career-low 5.9 points and 3.3 assists in 19 minutes per game over 30 appearances this season. He is on the books for $5 million this season and $4.6 million in 2014-15, the final year of his current contract.

Vesely, 23, has yet to make a mark in the league after being selected with the No. 6 pick in the 2011 draft. He was averaging 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per game over 33 appearances for Washington in his third season, and the Wizards elected not to pick up his rookie option for the 2014-15 season, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Maynor, 26, was signed by the Wizards to a two-year, $4.1 million contract last summer with the goal of making him John Wall's back-up. The 2009 first-round pick had little impact this season, though, averaging 2.3 points and 1.7 assists in 9.3 minutes over 23 appearances for Washington. A serious knee injury that cost Maynor much of the 2011-12 season has seemingly altered the trajectory of his career. He is on the books for $2 million this season and he holds a $2.1 million player option for 2014-15.
