The New York Posterroneously reported Monday that former NBA player Quinton Ross was found dead inside a trash bag on a New York beach. The paper later retracted its report, noting that a different man named Quinton Ross was found dead.

Ross, a native of Dallas, TX., went undrafted in 2003 after spending four years at Southern Methodist University. He caught on with the Clippers in 2004 and would go on to average 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds during a seven-year career, that also included stops with the Grizzlies, Mavericks, Wizards and Nets.
