After a mostly disastrous postseason in which Roy Hibbert had two games where he didn't score a point or grab a rebound, the Indiana Pacers have begun the process of "quietly" shopping their big man in potential trades, according to a report Sunday afternoon from Sean Deveney of Sporting News.

The 27-year-old -- an All-Star in 2012 and again last season -- is due $14.8 million next year but according to a front office executive cited in Deveney's report, the Pacers are looking for someone to take Hibbert even though he also has a player option for $15.5 million in 2015-16. Hibbert averaged a paltry 9.3 points and 5.5 rebounds this postseason.

The Pacers might have to clear up more cap room if they want to keep swingmanLance Stephenson, who reportedly remains at an impasse with Indiana after being offered a five-year, $44 million contract this offseason.

One potential destination for Hibbert is Portland, which Deveney said has been "intermittently linked" to the big man. Portland would likely have to undergo significant restructuring to make the deal work and a source quoted in the report said a potential Pacers-Trail Blazers deal involving Hibbert is "unlikely."

One general manager cited in the report said  Indiana is open to making drastic changes, including the possibility of taking back multiple pieces for Hibbert:

“They’re open to making major changes, if they’re there. I think they’d be disappointed to see that same core group back intact, so it is a matter of, how drastic can the changes they make be? Moving Hibbert for multiple pieces would be a pretty drastic change, but they’re asking.”
