Top picks adjusting differently at summer league

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Three of the top picks in last month's draft are adjusting to NBA at different speeds at the Orlando Pro Summer League.

Marcus Smart, the sixth overall selection, had his second straight rough offensive outing Monday in Boston's 97-77 loss to Indiana. He started off strong before finishing with 11 points on just 3-for-15 shooting.

It came just two days after a disappointing 2-for-8, 10-point effort in his rookie debut.

Meanwhile, both of the Orlando Magic's lottery pickups had solid second games.

Forward Aaron Gordon, taken at No. 4, rebounded from an uneven debut to finish with nine points on 4-for-7 shooting with seven rebounds in Orlando's 87-69 win over Houston. Elfrid Payton, 10th overall, had 12 points and nine assists.
