The Pelicans finished an injury plagued 2013-14 season 34-48, but second-year forward Anthony Davis was a bright spot, averaging 20.8 points, 10 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. New Orleans did not have a first-round pick in the 2014 draft after trading for point guard Jrue Holiday in 2013. In an attempt to give Davis help in the paint, the Pelicans traded for Rockets center Omer Asik.

Former All-Star Josh Howard, 34, is on the Summer League team as he tries to make an NBA roster after being out of the league since 2012.
