Knicks release former Laker, Clipper Lamar Odom
The Knicks have released veteran Lamar Odom, team president Phil Jackson told reporters on Friday.
New York signed the 6-foot-10 forward to a two-year deal in April after its season ended, with the second year non-guaranteed.

The 34-year-old Odom was arrested on a DUI charge — and was reportedly battling substance-abuse issues. He also divorced Khloe Kardashian in the last year. He hasn't played in an NBA game since May 3, 2013, and never took the floor for the Knicks.
The move freed up a roster spot for the Knicks, which they used to re-sign center Cole Aldrich.
Odom played for a Spanish team last season. The 14-year veteran of the Clippers, Heat, Lakers and Mavericks averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his NBA career. The 2011 Sixth Man of the Year won two NBA titles with the Lakers.
