Point guard Brian Roberts signed a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Hornets on Sunday, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 28-year-old out of Dayton has played two NBA seasons after playing overseas. He averaged 8.2 points and 3.0 assists in 150 games (47 starts) the last two seasons for the Pelicans. He's also a 37 percent three-point shooter.
Roberts will likely back up Kemba Walker for the Hornets, who made the playoffs last season (as the Bobcats) for the first time since 2009-10.
