Wizards' Glen Rice Jr. named Las Vegas Summer League MVP
Washington Wizards guard Glen Rice Jr. was named MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League, the NBA announced Sunday.
Rice Jr. averaged a league-leading 25 points per game and added 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals over six games for the Wizards, who were eliminated in the semifinals of the summer league-concluding tournament Sunday.
Chosen in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers before being dealt to Washington, Rice Jr. played in 11 games for the Wizards last season, averaging 2.9 points per contest. Wizards teammate Otto Porter, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 draft, was also named to the All-Summer League First Team.
The Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings will meet in the Summer League tournament final Monday.
