LeBron James' departure from Miami has given Chris Bosh a "revitalized" attitude toward basketball and left the Heat with the opportunity to play with a chip on their shoulder, the forward told a Miami radio station.

Bosh said he thinks the Heat have the chance to be a very good team, even though they "don't have the best player in the world."

From The Ticket, via an ESPN transcription:

"Teamwise, if we come together we can do a bunch of special things," Bosh said on "The Zaslow and Joy Show" on FM 104.3 The Ticket in Miami. "We're still going to be competitive. It gives us an opportunity to play with a chip on our shoulder. It has revitalized my attitude towards basketball a little bit. And I'm really excited."

Bosh also told the radio station he was very close to leaving Miami to sign with the Houston Rockets.

After James left, the Heat re-signed Bosh and Dwyane Wade, and signed Luol Deng and Josh McRoberts.
