LeBron reportedly told Dion Waiters 'be ready' before announcing return

LeBron James reportedly told Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters to "be ready" roughly "four or five days" before he announced his return to Cleveland, according to an interview Waiters gave to Slam Online's Brendan Bowers that was published on Wednesday.
James announced his decision to return to the Cavaliers via an essay he penned for SI.com in July. Heat president Pat Riley had subsequently indicated that he didn't know of James' decision and believed he was coming back to the Miami Heat. Dwyane Wade had said he went to sleep that night knowing James was leaving Miami before finding out for sure the next day.

Waiters said he spoke with James "four or five days" before the decision was made public and the four-time MVP told him to "be ready" but had also told him that he hadn't made up his mind at that point in the week:
“We’ve talked. I actually talked with LeBron before he made his decision. He called me and just told me to be ready. Be ready. I talked to him four or five days before he made his decision. He just got on the phone and said I haven’t made my mind up yet but be ready."
