Ray Allen will reportedly return for 19th NBA season
Free agent guard Ray Allen will return to the NBA for his 19th NBA season, according to a report Saturday night from Chris Broussard of ESPN.
The team that will sign him is yet to be determined, but the 39-year-old sharpshooter is reportedly leaning toward following LeBron James to the Cavaliers; the pair played together for two years in Miami. Allen averaged 9.6 points and 37.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc in 26 minutes per game for Miami last season, making 73 appearances for the Heat.
Just last week, Allen, who won a championship with the Celtics and another with the Heat, had reportedly been undecided whether to hang it up and call it a career or come back for another season.
Allen plans on announcing his decision in September.
