Report: Cavaliers to host Knicks in season opener
The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the New York Knicks to open their 2014-15 NBA season, reports Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.
The game will be held on Oct. 30. New York will reportedly open its season two days prior when it hosts the Chicago Bulls.
On Oct. 31, one night after the Cavs play the Knicks, Cleveland will take on Chicago, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
The New York Daily Newshad reported that the San Antonio Spurs were expected to host LeBron James and the Cavaliers to begin the season, but according to Spears, that plan changed.

The Spurs are tentatively scheduled to host the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 28 to begin their season and receive their championship rings.
Reported Christmas Day games include Cavaliers vs. Heat, Lakers vs. Bulls, Thunder vs. Spurs, Clippers vs. Warriors and Wizards vs. Knicks.
Kevin Love will reportedly return to Minnesota with the Cavaliers on January 31.

The entire 2014-15 regular season schedule will be released Wednesday at 6 p.m. in a one-hour special on NBA TV.
