Report: Raptors talk with Rochester team, want D-League affiliate
The Toronto Raptors are in talks with the Rochester RazorSharks of Premier Basketball League to join the franchise as the team’s affiliate for the NBA Developmental League.
The Toronto Raptors are in talks with the Rochester RazorSharks of the Premier Basketball League to become the team’s NBA Developmental League affiliate, according to Time Warner Cable News-Rochester.
Seventeen of the 18 D-League franchises have relationships with NBA teams, with the exception being the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Toronto currently doesn't have an affiliated D-League team.
The Raptors went 48-34 last season, winning the Atlantic Division for the first time in seven seasons. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Brooklyn Nets in seven games.
