Emmanuel Mudiay signs deal with Under Armour
Former SMU point guard recruit Emmanuel Mudiay has signed a contract with Under Armour, the company announced Tuesday.
In July, Mudiay decided to forgo his offer from SMU in favor of playing overseas. He signed a contract with China's Guangdong.
Mudiay has said he made the decision because he was "tired of seeing my mom struggle" and wanted to provide for her. His one-year contract with Guangdong is reportedly worth $1.2 million dollars. Terms of the Under Armour deal were not disclosed.

He has denied that eligibility issues were a factor in his decision. The point guard attended attended Prime Prep Academy in Dallas, which faces foreclosure for academic shortcomings.
Mudiay is a potential top pick in the 2015 NBA draft.
