Video: Heat's Ennis with unbelievable dunk in victory against Wizards

Heat forward James Ennis threw down a monster dunk over Wizards forward Rasual Butler during Miami's 107-95 home victory in Wednesday night's season opener.

With a little under nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and the Heat leading 79-75, Mario Chalmers threaded a pass to Ennis in transition. With only Butler standing between himself and the hoop, the rookie forward didn't hesitate, taking two steps before leaping from well outside the protected circle.

Ennis got high enough off the ground to complete the cock-back slam, even though Butler slid over underneath him in an attempt to draw a charge. Butler's feet were on the restricted circle, though, giving Ennis an and-one opportunity. The high-flying play brought the American Airlines Arena crowd to its feet.

The 24-year-old Ennis was a 2013 second-round pick. He spent last year playing professionally in Australia and Puerto Rico before signing a three-year contract with the Heat this summer.

Chris Bosh led the Heat with a game-high 26 points (on 9-for-18 shooting), 15 rebounds and four assists. Ennis finished with five points (on 2-for-4 shooting).

Drew Gooden and Marcin Gortat paced the Wizards with 18 points apiece in a losing effort.
