Video: Hornets' Kemba Walker hits OT game-winner to beat Bucks
Hornets guard Kemba Walker hit a game-winning jumper to beat the Bucks108-106 in overtime on Wednesday.
With the score tied and the clock under 15 seconds, Walker received a pass from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist on the right wing. Isolating against Brandon Knight, Walker used a crossover dribble and step-back combination to free himself for a jumper from just inside the arc. Walker's shot swished through with 5.1 seconds remaining and it proved to be the winning margin, after Khris Middleton missed a potential game-winning three-pointer on the other end.
The shot was Walker's second big moment of the evening, as he hit a deep, game-tying three-pointer to force overtime with 1.6 seconds remaining in regulation.
Charlotte recently inked Walker to a four-year contract extension worth $48 million. Walker finished with a game-high 26 points (on 9-for-26 shooting), six rebounds and five assists. Al Jefferson added 14 points (on 6-for-15 shooting) and 10 rebounds for the Hornets.
Knight led the Bucks with 22 points (on 5-for-17 shooting), 13 assists and eight rebounds.
