Heat guard Dwyane Wade to return, start Sunday against Knicks
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade will make his return on Sunday against the New York Knicks, according to Barry Jackson of TheMiami Herald.
Wade has not played since a Nov. 12 loss to the Indiana Pacers after injuring his hamstring. Earlier in the week, the 32-year-old had said he hoped to play against the Knicks.
In eight games this season, Wade has averaged 19.8 points, 6.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds on 50.8 percent shooting from the floor. Miami is 5-3 with Wade in the lineup and 3-4 without him.
Last season, Wade was limited to 54 games as part of a maintenance program for his knees. Spoelstra and Wade confirmed that the All-Star will start on Sunday as well, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
