Video: Wizards' Bradley Beal converts buzzer-beating lob to down Magic
Wizards guard Bradley Beal converted a game-winning inbounds lob at the buzzer to lift Washington to a 91-89 road victory against Orlando on Wednesday.
This was just pretty execution from the Wizards and a heart-breaking defeat for the Magic, who never should have been in position to lose this game in regulation. With the score tied at 89 and the clock ticking down under 10 seconds, Magic guard Victor Oladipo set himself up for a potential game-winning jumper. Unfortunately for the home crowd, Oladipo's shot rimmed off and the Wizards secured the defensive rebound while also managing to call timeout with just 0.8 seconds left.
Veteran point guard Andre Miller inbounded from the left sideline. The Wizards drew the defensive attention away from the hoop by running John Wall to the top of the key, Beal on a curling route towards the pass and Rasual Butler to the near corner. Instead of coming to the ball, though, Beal kept curling back toward the empty space behind the defense and Miller tossed a pass towards the basket.

Although the pass was a bit underthrown, Beal was able to come back and retrieve it, smoothly finishing a point-blank layup before time expired. Once Oladipo figured out what was happening, it was already too late for him to break up the pitch and catch.
Beal finished with nine points, three rebounds and three assists. Wall led the way for Washington with a game-high 21 points, 11 assists and six rebounds. Oladipo tallied a team-high 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Tobias Harris added 15 points and six rebounds in a losing effort.
Washington improved to 15-6. Orlando dropped to 9-15.
