Nike releases 'Mamba Moment' shoe after Kobe passes Michael Jordan
Nike is releasing a commemorative "Mamba Moment" edition of Kobe Bryant's signature shoe, the Kobe 9 Elite, after Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the NBA's career scoring list on Sunday.
Bryant scored his 32,293rd career point after a pair of free throws with 5:24 remaining in the second quarter of Sunday night's Lakers-Timberwolves game. Doing so moved him past Jordan for third on the NBA scoring list, trailing only Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387 points) and Karl Malone (36,928).

Kobe wore the shoes during the game, and a special NikeiD edition is now available for purchase on Nike's website for $245. Various customization options are available, including the color schemes for various parts of the shoe, text options and various choices for the midsole -- even a glow-in-the-dark variety.
