Phoenix Suns forwards Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris are part of a possible assault investigation, reports KPHO.com.

Phoenix police told the television station that they are investigating an assault that took place Saturday outside of a gym in central Phoenix.

According to the report, the twins are being looked as suspects in the case.

Before the season, both players signed four-year contracts worth a combined $52 million; Markieff will earn $32 million, while Marcus will make $20 million.

The Morris twins attended shootaround and also played in Wednesday night's home game against the Washington Wizards. They played together in college at Kansas and were the 13th and 14th picks in the 2011 draft.

Markieff Morris is averaging 15.2 points and 5.7 rebounds this season, while Marcus Morris is averaging 9.7 points and 3.7 rebounds a game.
