Reports: Goran Dragic will not re-sign with Suns
Suns guard Goran Dragic will not sign a contract extension with Phoenix, according to multiple reports.
USA Today's Sam Amick was first to report the news, which was later confirmed by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Suns will likely trade Dragic before Thursday's deadline, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
• NBA trade deadline rumors and buzz
Dragic has been the subject of numerous trade rumors this season, having been most recently connected to the Houston Rockets. Dragic would be unlikely to sign a long-term contract with the Rockets, Stein reports.
Dragic's agent presented the Suns with a list of preferred trade destinations, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Wojnarowksi reports. The Miami Heat and New York Knicks are also on that list, Wojnarowski adds.
Dragic, 28, averaged a career-high 20.3 points per game last season but is averaging 16.2 points per game this season after the Suns acquired point guard Isaiah Thomas last summer. Point guard Eric Bledsoe also signed a long-term contract with Phoenix this summer.
The NBA's trade deadline is 3 p.m. ET Thursday.
