Report: Phoenix Suns trade Isaiah Thomas to Boston Celtics

Point guard Isaiah Thomas has been traded from Phoenix to the Boston Celtics, according to a report.

The Phoenix Suns have traded point guard Isaiah Thomas to the Boston Celtics, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. 

The trade could become part of a larger transaction between multiple teams, but Phoenix will receive a first-round pick in 2016 as well as shooting guard Marcus Thornton for Thomas, Wojnarowski reports.

Thomas signed a four-year, $27 million deal with Phoenix before the season. His former backcourt teammate Goran Dragic was traded to the Miami Heat minutes before Thomas was dealt. 

Phoenix is also reportedly acquiring Brandon Knight from Milwaukee.
