The New York Knicks have traded guard Pablo Prigioni to the Houston Rockets in return for guard Alexey Shved as well as two second-round draft picks, Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowskireported on Thursday.

The 37-year-old Prigioni has spent three years with the Knicks, averaging 3.9 points, three assists and 1.9 rebounds in 187 games. This year, he has averaged 4.7 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 43 games.

Houston has sent guard Alexey Shved to New York in return. Drafted in 2012, Schved was acquired by Houston from the Philadelphia 76ers in December as part of a three-team trade. He has averaged 3.2 points, 0.3 assists and 0.4 rebounds in 6.6 minutes per game in nine games for Houston this season.

Shved spent most of his first two seasons in the league with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Knicks have already lost forward Carmelo Anthony to season-ending knee surgery and traded away center Amar'e Stoudemire to the Dallas Mavericks. New York is 10-43 this season and in last place in the Eastern Conference.

Houston, currently in fourth place in the Western Conference, is 36-17.
