The Denver Nuggets have traded guard Arron Afflalo to the Portland Trail Blazers, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports.

The Nuggets will receive Thomas Robinson, Will Barton, Victor Claver, a lottery protected first-round draft pick in 2016 and a second-round pick, while also sending Alonzo Gee to Portland.

Afflalo, 29, has averaged 14.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals while shooting 42.8 percent from the field and 33.7 percent on threes for Denver. The Nuggets acquired him from the Magic after he averaged 18.2 points while shooting 42.7 percent last season in Orlando. He has a $7.9 million player option for next season.

In addition to his three-point shooting, Afflalo is a veteran defender who will back up Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum in Portland. Batum, in particular, has struggled this season, averaging just 8.9 points on 37.5 percent shooting. The Trail Blazers are the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a 36-17 record.

Wojnarowski reports the draft pick is lottery protected in both 2016 and 2017 before it becomes a pair of second rounders.

Robinson, 23, was the No. 5 pick in the 2012 draft by the Kings and has averaged 3.6 points and 4.2 rebound this season. Claver and Barton have played sparingly this season for the Trail Blazers.

The Nuggets are 20-33 this season and are expected to be active leading up to the deadline. Wilson Chandler is also rumored to be available.
