Video: Grizzlies' Marc Gasol hits last-second game-winner to beat Rockets
Marc Gasol hit a last-second game-winner to cap off the Grizzlies' controversial 102-100 road victory over the Rockets on Wednesday.
With 5.4 seconds remaining and the score tied at 100, Memphis inbounded the ball from the left sideline to Gasol near the right elbow. The two-time All-Star center used one dribble to his right as he worked against Josh Smith. He then leaned in to create a little space before stepping back to launch a mid-range jumper. The off-balance effort was a nice mix of skill and good luck, and the basket swished home with just a fraction of a second remaining on the clock.

The Rockets were irate when they left the court because of an apparent missed call on the Rockets' second-to-last possession. On that play, James Harden lost the ball after driving hard into the paint. Replays appeared to show Zach Randolph making direct, significant contact with Harden's left arm during the drive. The officials did not award free throws on the play, setting up Gasol's winner on the other end.
Gasol posted 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Mike Conley added 17 points and six assists for Memphis.
