Video: Celtics' Tyler Zeller hits buzzer beater to top Jazz in Boston

Celtics center Tyler Zeller got the last laugh when he flipped home the game-winning layup at the buzzer to lift Boston to an 85-84 home victory over the Jazz on Wednesday.

Fortunes changed quickly in the final stages of this contest, as Gordon Hayward hit a go-ahead pull-up jumper over Zeller to give Utah a one-point lead with less than two seconds remaining.

Zeller's revenge was swift, though, as he corralled an over-the-top inbounds pass from Marcus Smart near the rim, pumped to free himself from Rudy Gobert, and twisted home the winning hoop in less than 1.7 seconds to beat the buzzer.

[daily_cut.NBA] Score one for Celtics coach Brad Stevens, whose motion-heavy play design created plenty of open space for Zeller to operate on the block. The third-year seven-footer did the rest.

Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 21 points and seven assists. Zeller added eight points and 11 rebounds in the win. Derrick Favors and Elijah Millsap each scored 16 points for Utah. Gobert chipped in 10 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks.

Boston improved to 24-35. Utah fell to 24-36.
