George Hill hit a game-winning layup with just seconds remaining to lift the Pacers to a 103-101 road victory over the Wizards on Wednesday.

What a pleasant stroll through a grassy meadow.

[daily_cut.NBA] With less than 10 seconds remaining and the score tied at 101, Hill worked the clock against Martell Webster at the top of the key. As the clock hit five seconds, David West approached Webster as if he was going to set a pick, only to quickly vacate the area. The action appeared to confuse Washington with Nene allowing Hill to turn the corner and Webster not being able to keep pace.

Unfortunately for the Wizards, no help defenders were under the basket to provide help, allowing Hill to cruise towards the rim and finish a scoop layup with 2.7 seconds remaining. Washington's desperation heave was no good and Indiana held on for a two-point win.
