Kevin Durant says he'd 'love' to stay with Thunder for whole career

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant recently told Revolt TV that he would love to stay with the Thunder for his whole career.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant recently told Revolt TV that he would love to stay with the Thunder for his whole career, according to ESPN.

Durant is due to become a free agent following the 2015-16 season. He underwent bone graft surgery on his foot on Tuesday and will miss the rest of this season.

"I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don't really think about anywhere else," Durant said in the interview. "I hear it all the time, don't get me wrong, and once you hear it you're kind of like [looks up, thinking]. But for me, I love staying in the moment, and I'm one of those guys that would love to stick it out with one team my whole career."

The 26-year-old was drafted second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007. The team then moved to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder in 2008.

Durant also said "you never know what the future holds sometimes and how teams may feel about you after a while," but that he "would love" to get his jersey retired in Oklahoma City. Durant's full comments can be seen here. 

Over eight seasons, Durant has averaged 27.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
