Pacers' George, Hill wear headbands supporting Chris Copeland
Indiana Pacers players Wednesday wore headbands in support of stabbing victim Chris Copeland, who always wore one on the court himself.
Paul George and Solomon Hill tweeted their support for Copeland after the game with the hashtag #headbandforcopeland.
[daily_cut.NBA]Copeland was stabbed early Wednesday morning outside a New York City nightclub during an incident also involving two players for the Atlanta Hawks, forwards Thabo Sefolosha and Pero Antic.
Copeland remained in the ICU Wednesday following the surgery. The knife punctured his diaphragm, The Indianapolis Star reported.
The 31 year old was averaging 6.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 50 games this season for the Pacers before the incident.
