Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul will not play in Game 2 on Wednesday night due to his injured hamstring, Clippers coach Doc Rivers announced

Paul strained his hamstring during Saturday's first round Game 7 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. He did not play in the Clippers' 117-101 Game 1 win over the Rockets on Monday.

In Paul's absence, Austin Rivers started at point guard for Los Angeles and scored 17 points in 28 minutes.

Paul missed a substantial portion of the first half of the team's Game 7 win over the Spurs but still played 37 minutes, scoring 27 points and connecting on the game-winning shot with one second remaining.
