Hawks' DeMarre Carroll a game-time decision for Game 2 against Cavs
Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said that forward DeMarre is a game-time decision for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday in Atlanta.
Carroll, a 6'8'' forward, suffered a left knee sprain while attempting a layup during the fourth quarter of Game 1 on Wednesday. Atlanta announced on Thursday that Carroll was questionable for Game 2.
At shootaround on Friday, Carroll was seen walking around wearing a brace.
"We’ll see how he does the rest of the day and if he progresses," Budenholzer said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "He did some things this morning and we are hopeful for the best."
Carroll has averaged a team-high 16.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 13 postseason games. He was expected to defend Cavaliers star LeBron James during the series.
