How the Warriors were built: Timeline of title team's roster construction
The Golden State Warriors closed out the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-97 in Game 6 of the 2015 NBA Finals Tuesday to win their first NBA championship in 40 years. They were the best team in the league from start to finish, finishing the regular season with the best record in the league and capping it off with a title.
After falling behind to the Cavaliers 2-1, the Warriors would go on to win three consecutive games to win the series. Despite a herculean effort by LeBron James, the Cavaliers could not overcome the clear discrepancy in talent between the two teams.
