Hawks guard Kyle Korver to have elbow surgery
Atlanta Hawks guard Kyle Korver will have surgery Tuesday to remove loose bodies from his right elbow, the team announced Monday. A timetable for his recovery will be determined after the procedure.
Korver is currently recovering after surgery on his right ankle late last month. Korver suffered a severe ankle sprain in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Hawks went on to lose Games 3 and 4 and were swept in the series.
The ankle surgery was expected to sideline Korver for about three months.
Korver was selected to his first All-Star game this season in his 12th year in the league. He averaged 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season while shooting a league-best 49.2% from three-point range.
