Report: Marc Gasol to only meet with Grizzlies
Unrestricted free-agent center Marc Gasol will meet with only the Memphis Grizzlies and is not scheduling meetings with other teams who are interested in him, reports ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.
According the report, Gasol will instead host Grizzlies officials in his native Spain on Wednesday morning.
Gasol and the Grizzlies can agree to a deal verbally after the free agent period begins at midnight on Tuesday, but cannot sign a new contract until July 9, when the NBA’s moratorium is lifted. Gasol has spent his entire seven-year NBA career with the Grizzlies.
