Report: Wizards attempting to trade Nene
The Washington Wizards are shopping center Nene, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.
The center is entering the final year of a five-year, $67 million deal signed in December 2011.
Over 67 games last season, Nene averaged 11.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
The 32-year-old spent nine-plus seasons with the Denver Nuggets before the Wizards acquired him in a three-team deal in March 2012.
Stein also reported that the Wizards are "pushing hard" to sign free-agent power forward David West, who has spent his last four seasons with the Indiana Pacers.
Veteran forward Paul Pierce, who played for the Wizards last season, reportedly agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.
