Kevin Durant to practice at Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant will practice on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas, his agent and manager told USA Today.
Durant will not participate in Thursday's scheduled showcase game, according to USA Today.
The 26-year-old Durant had been expected to attend the camp but not participate. His NBA season was cut short due to injury in February and in March he underwent bone graft surgery on his foot.
Thirty-four players were invited to the minicamp, which USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo has stated requires mandatory attendance for players hoping to participate in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. No cuts will be made during the three-day gathering.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is only expected to participate in the first day of camp before returning to Ohio for an event of his foundation's.
Colangelo said last week that Indiana Pacers forward Paul George will attend a minicamp meeting but will not participate. Cavaliers forward Kevin Love is also expected to attend but not participate as he recovers from injury.
