Veteran forward Dorell Wright signs with Chinese team

Veteran forward Dorell Wright has signed to play in China with the Chongqing Dragons, he confirmed to Jabari Young of CSN Northwest.
According to The Sun Sentinel, Wright’s deal is for one year, which would allow him to sign with an NBA team when the Chinese season concludes in February or March.
Wright, 29, played the past two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. In 48 games last season, he averaged 4.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. He shot 38% from three-point range, his best percentage since the 2009–10 season.
Wright had reportedly been in talks to return to the Miami Heat, the team that drafted him out of high school in 2004, though Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald reported the Heat never made a formal offer.
Wright’s younger brother, Delon, was a first-round pick by the Toronto Raptors this summer.
