Free-agent guard Dahntay Jones has agreed to a non-guaranteed contract with the Brooklyn Nets, reports Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Nets currently have 12 guaranteed contracts on their roster. Jones will compete for a spot on the team during training camp.

Brooklyn coach Lionel Hollins worked with Jones when the two were in Memphis from 2003–07.

Jones has played for seven teams in 11 seasons. Last year, he started in the NBA Development League before joining the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jones played in 33 regular season and 11 playoff games for the Clippers. He averaged less than four minutes per game during the season and less than two minutes per game in the postseason.

In his career, Jones has averaged 5.4 points per game.
