NBA rumors: Free agency and trades
Although free agency has slowed since the summer, NBA teams are still at work preparing for the 2015–2016 season.
As a reminder, the salary cap for the upcoming season is set at an all-time high of $70 million, an 11% increase over last season. The luxury tax level is set at $84.74 million.
As for what’s next, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 10–12 and training camps open Sept. 26 for teams participating in preseason NBA Global Games and Sept. 29 for all other teams.

• The Washington WizardssignedIsh Smith and Toure’ Murray to non-guaranteed deals with training camp invitation on Tuesday.
• New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday is expected to be cleared for training camp, but with restrictions limiting him to one practice per day, reportsThe Times Picayune’s John Reid.
• The Philadelphia 76ers signed second-round draft pick J.P. Tokoto to a one-year deal, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
• The Brooklyn Nets signed veteran forward Dahntay Jones to a non-guaranteed training camp deal, Wojnarowski reported.
• The Memphis Grizzlies signed point guard Lazeric Jones to a non-guaranteed deal as well, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Shams Charania.
