Report: Tristan Thompson not in attendance at LeBron's training camp
Restricted free-agent Tristan Thompson has not attended the pre-training camp set up by LeBron James for the Cleveland Cavaliers in Miami, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Thompson is in the middle of a contract dispute with the Cavaliers and is requesting a max contract or an offer close to one after turning down a four-year, $52 million extension, according to The News Herald's Bob Finnan.
The North East Ohio Media Group reports that Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Anderson Varejao, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Joe Harris, Mo Williams, James Jones, Richard Jefferson and Sasha Kaun are expected to be in attendance in Miami.
Thompson, 24, increased his value greatly during the Cavaliers' run to the NBA finals. The forward increased his per-game averages in minutes, points and rebounds during the playoffs. Thompson averaged 8.5 points and eight rebounds during the regular season, and 9.6 points and 10.8 rebounds in 20 playoff games.
