Oklahoma City Thunder unveil new 'sunset' orange alternate jerseys
The Oklahoma City Thunderunveiled a set of new alternate threads for the upcoming season on Friday.
The jerseys, labeled as ‘sunset orange’ by the team, were designed to celebrate hometown pride with bold 'OKC' lettering and a darker, orange and navy blue color scheme.
“The ‘OKC’ on the front of the jersey echoes the chant that rings through Chesapeake Energy Arena during Thunder home games. This sunset-colored uniform adds a fresh perspective on the identity our team has built over the past seven seasons,” said Brain Byrne, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing for the Thunder.
OKC will wear the jerseys for 18 games this season, including all 13 of its Sunday games. The team now has five jerseys, including two other alternates.
Oklahoma City rolled them out on social media to mixed reviews. The jerseys are available for pre-order as well.
