Video: Cavaliers’ Richard Jefferson dunks over Hawks’ Walter Tavares
LeBron James and J.R. Smith absolutely lost their minds during the third quarter of their preseason game Wednesday when Cavaliers forward Richard Jefferson dunked on Walter Tavares.
With time winding down in the period, center Anderson Varejao threw a bounce pass to a cutting Jefferson, who boldly decided to go up for a jam.
Jefferson, 35, stands in at 6’ 7” while Tavares, 23, towers over most at 7’ 3”.
With that in mind, the result of Jefferson’s decision was shocking, to say the least.
The Hawks defeated the Cavaliers 98–96 at Xavier’s Cintas Center. The dunk wasn’t the only fun James had on Wednesday. He took a selfie with fans during a timeout and even invited a young girl to watch the game with him on the bench.
