• Former NBA power forward Lamar Odom “briefly” woke up from a coma and showed some responsiveness but remains on life support, reports Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News. Odom was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday.

• Chicago Bulls point guard said he is experiencing double vision when he has both eyes open, reports K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. Rose suffered an orbital fracture on Sept. 29 and will miss the remainder of the preseason, but has been cleared for non-contact activity.

• Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James could miss the remainder of the preseason after receiving an anti-inflammatory injection in his back, reports ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
