NBA roster cuts roundup: Perry Jones, Chuck Hayes released

With the NBA’s Oct. 26 deadline to submit opening-night rosters here, final roster cuts are taking place league-wide.

Veterans like Chuck Hayes and Samuel Dalembert have been released as teams try to trim their rosters to 15 or below, while Metta World Peace has made the Lakers roster in favor of Jabari Brown.

Every player acquired by the Nuggets in exchange for Rockets guard Ty Lawson has now been cut. Meanwhile, younger players like Cory Jefferson and Erick Green have secured some of the final spots at the end of teams’ benches.

At least 120 players, roughly 21.1% of the league, will be cut before October is over.
