With the New York Knicks trailing the Atlanta Hawks68–51 in the third quarter of Thursday night’s game, New York was looking for any kind of spark to get the crowd back into the game.

The fans in Madison Square Garden got exactly what they were looking for in the form of a coast-to-coast dunk from Latvian rookie Kristaps Porzingis.

With just over nine minutes on the clock, Porzingis stepped in front of a lazy pass from Hawks forward Al Horford and took off up the court with forward Paul Millsap a step in front of him. As Millsap reached in for the steal around the three-point line, Porzingis pulled off a spin move and finished with a dunk.

The steal and finish wasn’t enough for New York as it fell to Atlanta 112–101. Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 23 points while Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 25. Porzingis added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Knicks.
