Watch: Giannis Antetokounmpo returns with dunk on Nene
Giannis Antetokuompo opened his season on Friday night against the Washington Wizards and made his presence known with a dunk over Nene in the second quarter of Friday night’s game.
The Bucks’ sophomore star missed the season opener after serving a one-game ban for his flagrant foul on Chicago Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy during the Bucks’ first-round playoff series loss last season.
Antetokounmpo scored 23 of his game-high 27 points in the first half, and added a team-high nine rebounds as well.
The “Greek Freak” was a victim of a thunderous dunk at the hands of Nikola Mirotic during Eurobasket play in September. Antetokuompo’s dunk over Nene adds to his highlight reel from last season, which includes two strong dunks against the Philadelphia 76ers in April.
