Watch: Dwight Howard throws down big dunk on Kristaps Porzingis
Rockets center Dwight Howard put Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis on a poster with a big dunk during overtime of Sunday’s game at Madison Square Garden.
Early in the overtime period, Howard caught an alley oop from Marcus Thornton and stuffed it home right over Porzingis, who jumped to meet Howard in the air.
Houston won the game, 116–111, and Howard finished with 14 points and six rebounds. The Knicks, playing without Carmelo Anthony (illness), were led by Arron Afflalo’s 31 points. Porzingis had 20 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks.
You can watch highlights of Houston’s win below.
Porzingis has become a revelation in New York, grabbing headlines with highlight dunks of his own. He threw down a putback dunk on the Spurs’ LaMarcus Aldridge, the Cavaliers’ Kevin Love, several Raptors players and had this coast-to-coast slam against the Hawks.
